Where can I find my own fossils?
Many think that they have to travel to far-off places to find fossils – not true! Fossils can be found all over the world, including right here in New York, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, and Maryland.
This page is designed to be a supplemental resource to the handout we give out at our Scientific Social fossil talks. (You can download a digital copy here.) In addition to finding some of the best locations in New Jersey, New York, Pennsylvania, and Maryland, you can find out even more information about these locations.
This page will be updated to include even more locations around New Jersey, New York, Pennsylvania, and Maryland.
